Instructor Background:
After training in multiple Bujinkan dojos, I found Shingitai-Ichi and joined in 2010. In 2011, at the urging of James Morganelli, I started a small Bujinkan training group as a Shidoshi-Ho (apprentice teacher).
In 2016, I made the trip to Japan where I received my go-dan (5th degree black belt) and teaching license from the Bujinkan. I now train and teach in the Shingitai-Ichi Dojo.

Common Questions About Training:
- Q: How long are classes?
- A: Classes are approximately two hours long with brief breaks at intervals.
- Q: Do you have beginner classes?
- A: All skill levels train together, so in a sense, every class is a beginner class. One reason I ask to talk with you before your first class is so that I can plan for your first day of training.
- Q: Do you have expert classes?
- A: I think the most expert thing you can do is to train safely with a beginner. So our expert classes are those classes where experts are present.
- Q: Do you have weapons classes?
- A: We incorporate a variety of weapons into our training. We will do this at every class. Dojo members will typically bring their own training weapons, and we inspect them to make sure they are safe to train with.
- Q: How fit do I have to be to train?
- A: You should strive to be as fit and healthy as possible. This is valuable in all aspects of your life. While you aren't expected to be an athlete, you should feel comfortable with forty-five to fifty minutes of moderate physical activity.
- Q: I heard that this martial art is fake.
- A: That isn't a question.
- Q: OK. Is this martial art fake?
- A: Absolutely. It's completely fake.
- Q: OK, so why should I train with you if your martial art is fake?
- A: You absolutely shouldn't. You won't learn anything useful from me.
- Q: Why don't you fight me and prove it isn't fake?
- A: I just told you that it is fake.
- Q: Wanna fight?
- A: Best of luck in your future endeavors.
